The race for Best Picture is a close one at the Oscars with Roma and Green Book the two frontrunners.

If Roma does win, it’ll make history as the very first foreign language film to win the night’s most coveted award, and, as a Netflix film, will spell a whole new era for streaming and cinema.

"Black Panther" became the first superhero movie to garner a best‑picture nomination.

Best Actor and Best Actress feel equally contested, with camps torn between Glenn Close and Olivia Colman, as well as Bradley Cooper and Rami Malek.

The Academy has announced an initial list of musical performers of this year's nominated songs set to take the stage including Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson who will perform "I'll Fight".

Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga are set to perform "Shallow" from A STAR IS BORN and Oscar nominee Bette Midler has been announced as the special guest who will perform "The Place Where Lost Things Go" from MARY POPPINS RETURNS.

The Oscars are currently being held at the LA's Dolby Theatre.
