Vatemo Ravouvou will not be comimg back to the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team.

This was confirmed by Coach Gareth Baber, while speaking to Fijivillage from Vancouver this morning.

It comes after Fijivillage asked Baber whether he is thinking of bringing Ravouvou back to replace injured playmaker, Waisea Nacuqu.

Meanwhile Jerry Tuwai and Vilimoni Botitu are both recovering from injury as Tuwai had an aggravated ankle while Botitu was tackled from the back which has been causing him some pain.

Baber says he will be checking up on Botitu and Tuwai’s condition and he will be able to pick the 13th man from the squad tomorrow.

The squad that is currently in Vancouver consists of Aminiasi Tuimaba, Kalione Nasoko, Jerry Tuwai, Vilimoni Botitu, Asaeli Tuvoka, Meli Derenalagi, Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Isoa Tabu, Mesulame Kunavula, Terio Tamani, Batinisavu Uluiyata, Jolsua Vakurinabili and Paula Dranisinukula.

Fiji will play Kenya in their first pool match of the Vancouver 7s at 6.39am Sunday, they will then take on Canada at 10.08am Sunday and face Samoa in their last pool game at 2.02pm Sunday.

The Cup quarterfinals will start at 6.08am next Monday, Cup semifinals start at 10.08am next Monday and the Cup final will kick off at 1.19pm next Monday.
