In a twisted tale of events, a family in Mumbai bonded over a murder.
A 32‑year‑old woman allegedly killed her husband’s third and latest wife with the help of her two minor stepdaughters on March 1.
The perpetrator, identified as Parvati Mane, has been arrested by the police. She is the second wife of Sushil Mishra, a contract labourer. Mishra’s first wife lives in Uttar Pradesh with his two minor daughters from the first wife.
Mishra married a third time just a year ago and left Mane and his two daughters and moved to his third wife’s home and did not provide his second wife and daughters any financial support.
All four have now been arrested.
