British Prime Minister Theresa May has told Conservative Party colleagues she would quit once she "delivers Brexit".
May spoke as she attended a meeting of the 1922 Committee of backbench Conservative MPs in a bid to garner enough support to pass her deal, which has twice been resoundingly defeated in parliament.
It comes as lawmakers prepare to vote on alternatives for leaving the European Union in a bid to end the country's impasse.
May has not set a date, but another MP said the impression was that she would go "reasonably soon".
Britain was due to leave the EU on March 29.
