Half of Crusaders Coach Scott Robertson's four Super Rugby defeats since taking over as head coach in 2017 have come in Wellington.
He says that the Hurricanes are a tricky team in the capital, where they have not lost to the Crusaders since 2012.
They have won 25 of their last 26 home fixtures.
Robertson says that the 'Canes‑Crusaders rivalry is what Super Rugby needs, and NZ Rugby needs adding that there is always anticipation around it from the players and the public and they are pretty brutal with results having gone both ways.
The Crusaders defeated the Hurricanes earlier in their last match 38-22 in round 2 of the season.
The Hurricanes will take on defending champions, the Crusaders at 6.35 tonight while the Waratahs take on the Sunwolves at 8.35pm.
