A team of top medical professionals from Apollo Hospitals in India will be in the country from early next week to hold free consultations with patients suffering from life threatening diseases.
The Coordinator of this program in Fiji, Yogendra Sharma says they will have an Oncologist, a Cardiac Surgeon and a Neurosurgeon travelling to Fiji and they will be available to speak and guide those that are diagnosed with cancer and those that have heart problems and spinal injuries.
Sharma says these medical professionals will look at cases where treatment is not available in Fiji but is in India and will brief patients on the opportunities of treatment at Apollo Hospitals in India and the costs associated with it.
These medical professionals will also provide reviews to those patients who have already travelled to Apollo Hospitals for treatment and this will be done at CWM and Lautoka Hospitals.
The consultations with patients will take place in Lautoka and Nadi next Tuesday while the medical professionals will be in Suva from next Wednesday to Friday. Patients will need to take their medical reports for the consultation.
