NSW Waratahs coach Daryl Gibson reiterated his support for Rugby Australia’s Wallabies rotation policy despite a humiliating 31‑29 loss to the Sunwolves in Newcastle last night.
Gibson rested test players Bernard Foley, Adam Ashley‑Cooper and Jack Dempsey for the Waratahs’ round seven clash with the axed Japanese side.
Their absence did not fully explain the loss, which was the Sunwolves’ second away win in the team’s four year history.
In another match the Crusaders crushed the Hurricanes 32‑8 at Westpac Stadium in Wellington last night.
At the break the Crusaders led 17‑8, and from there the Hurricanes just couldn't work their way into the match.
The Crusaders who have not won in Wellington since 2012 firmly secure their place at the top of the New Zealand Super Rugby conference after the dominant win.
Tonight the Blues take on the Stormers at 6.35pm, the Reds will meet the Rebels at 8.45pm and tomorrow, the Sharks will play the Bulls at 1.05am while the Jaguares host the Chiefs at 9.40am.
