Newsroom NZ Limited Co-Editor Mark Jennings who was wrongfully taken in with two others at Totogo Police Station says Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has apologized to them on behalf of the Fijian people.
After the meeting with Bainimarama Minister for Environment Doctor Mahendra Reddy and Police Commissioner, Sitiveni Qiliho, Jennings says they have accepted Bainimarama’s apology.
Jennings together with Investigations Editor Melanie Reid and Cameraman Hayden Aull were taken in last night.
He says Bainimarama also thanked them for covering the issue.
Jennings also highlighted that they feel they did not trespass the property of Freesoul Real Estate Development.
