The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team are wary that New Zealand will want to overthrow them in the early stages of this weekend’s Hong Kong 7s.

Fiji toppled New Zealand 17-14 in the pool stages of the Hong Kong 7s in 2017 and again thrashed them 50-7 last year.

New Zealand has not won the Cup title in Happy Valley in the past 4 years and they have boosted their squad with the return of Joe Webber, Scott Curry and Dylan Collier in their 13‑man squad who are all returning from injury breaks.

Fiji is the defending champion in Hong Kong.

Fiji will take on Kenya at 11.37pm tomorrow in their first pool match of the Hong Kong 7s, they will then take on Australia at 5.13pm Saturday and play their final pool match against New Zealand at 8.55pm Saturday.

The Cup quarterfinals will start at 2.58pm Sunday, Cup semifinals start at 7.41pm Sunday while the Cup final is at 11pm Sunday.
