Leg injuries had forced Ikanikoda from the game after that breakout season, and ever since he has been working his way back into the picture.
Baber told the South China Morning Post that Ikanikoda is mature, humble and keeps his feet on the ground.
He says it’s phenomenal as Ikanikoda looks like he has been playing in the Hong Kong 7s for the last five years.
Baber also says everybody is following what they talk about in terms of the game plan.
Fiji is aiming to win a record fifth title in a row in Hong Kong.
They have won 18 Hong Kong 7s titles already.
The Cup quarterfinals will start at 2.58pm today.
Fiji play Argentina at 3.20pm while South Africa will meet USA, England will face Samoa while New Zealand will take on France in the last Cup quarterfinal.
The Cup semifinals start at 7.41pm while the Cup final is at 11 o’clock tonight.
Barring any upsets Fiji could face South Africa or USA in the semifinal.
