The Highlanders have precious little Super Rugby history with the Sunwolves but plenty of links.
Although the Japanese franchise has been in existence since 2016 the Highlanders have only played them once, a 40‑15 victory in 2017.
However, Tony Brown coached the Highlanders to that win and two years later the former Otago No 10 is in charge of the Sunwolves in what could be a tricky fixture for current Highlander’s Coach, Aaron Mauger's side in Tokyo tonight.

Tonight the Sunwolves will host the Highlanders at 10pm while the Crusaders will take on the Lions at 7.35pm.
Tomorrow the Hurricanes will meet the Chiefs at 7.35pm and the Waratahs will face the Sharks at 9.45pm.
