Police are currently trying to identify a suspect in the case where a student lost his life after the suspect allegedly assaulted him on the 16th of March.
The victim was with a 10 year old relative when the incident occurred.
Police say that based on the victim’s statement Police have been trying to identify the suspect in this case as the victim was allegedly assaulted in a public place.
A report was lodged by the father of the 16 year old victim at the Nadi police Station four days after the incident and victim was asked to get a medical check up for a report.
The boy was later admitted to the Nadi Hospital on the 24th of March and then transferred to the Lautoka Hospital.
The student lost his life on the 20th of this month.
