Eight weightlifters will represent Fiji at the International Weightlifting Federation Junior Weightlifting Championships in Suva in June this year.
The team was finalised after the Fiji Games last Saturday.
It includes Adi Wini Mekula in the 59Kg, Rebecca Johns in the 64Kg, Merewalesi Vusonitokalau in the 81Kg, Helen Seipua in the 87+Kg, Maika Taukeinikoro in the 61Kg Samuela Nasila in the 67Kg, Maloni Sadranu in the 73Kg and Timothy Vakuruivalu in the 96Kg.
Weightlifting Fiji says with the exception of Timothy Vakuruivalu, this will be the first major competition for all the other lifters.
IWF Junior Weightlifting Championships will be held in Suva from 1‑8 June, 2019
