Daly Cherry‑Evans will miss several weeks for Manly Sea Eagles after injuring his right ankle, which could also jeopardise his place in the Queensland team.

The Maroons will be named after round 11, just four weeks away, with Cherry‑Evans not only the incumbent No.7 but being touted as the next captain after Greg Inglis's retirement.

The fear now is Cherry‑Evans could have a serious leg injury that could mean at least a month on the sidelines.

The Manly-Sea Eagle will take on the Bulldogs at 7.30pm Saturday.

The Rabbitohs will face the Broncos at 9.50pm on Thursday, the Cowboys will take on the Titans at 8pm Friday while the Sharks will face the Storm at 9.55pm the same night.

The Raiders will take on the Panthers at 5pm Saturday while the Roosters will face West Tigers at 9.35pm Saturday night.
