The Vodafone Fiji Under 20s defeated Junior Japan 59-37 to secure their only win at the Oceania Under 20s Championship in Gold Coast, Australia. 

Vodafone Fiji Under 20 Captain, Tevita Ikanivere says that the team had a slow start to their game, but as the game progressed, they began to find their form and rhythm in the second half.

Ikanivere says that it was good for the team to compete against New Zealand and Australia who they might meet in the World Rugby U20 Championship.

He says that for now it is about going back and continuing to work hard as they prepare for the Championship in June.

In final, the Junior Wallabies defeated the New Zealand Under 20s 24-0 to win the their first ever Oceania Under 20s Championship last night in Gold Coast, Australia.

With both teams going into the final undefeated, Australia's win see them finish as number one in the Oceania Rugby Under 20 Championships followed by New Zealand, Fiji and Japan.
