All Blacks Brodie Retallick and Nathan Harris are both unavailable for the Chiefs when they play their last home game of 2019 against the Crusaders in Suva.
Chiefs coach Colin Cooper confirms that neither Retallick and Harris would be in contention for their penultimate game of the regular season because of their respective wrist and thigh injuries.
Banged up and bruised from a battling defensive effort in their gutsy 19‑13 win over the Reds in Hamilton last Friday, welcoming back Retallick was on the cards.
Cooper had previously said the All Blacks lock was set to return against the Crusaders after tearing ligaments in his wrist last month, but his comeback has been prolonged another two weeks.
The Crusaders and Chiefs will arrive in the country tomorrow.
The Chiefs will play the Crusaders at 7.35pm Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
