The Fiji Roads Authority has completed roadworks on the worst affected parts of Ratu Mara Road in Nabua.
Fiji Roads Authority General Manager Central, Aram Goes says the worst affected areas of failure on Ratu Mara Road were repaired this month adding that the strategy of the Accelerated Seal Repairs works is to target roads that have high frequency pothole repairs and complete full‑width structural repairs of the underlying pavement.

Goes says that Ratu Mara Road was intended to be part of the Suva Arterial Road Upgrade Project 2 however, the excessive damage caused by the recent rain meant they could not wait and had to take immediate action in the interest of public safety.

Other roads targeted for Accelerated Seal Repairs works include Princes Road, Ratu Dovi Road, Grantham Road and Queens Road, and Suvavou.
