17 people are now homeless after a fire destroyed their house at Naqere in Savusavu last night.
The National Fire Authority says the double storey wooden and concrete house was rented by 3 tenants and also occupied by the owner of the house.
They will soon be conducting its investigations to determine the cause of the fire.
The Fire Authority says the fire is suspected to have started from one of the tenant’s house which was adjoining the double storey house.
Meanwhile, Police had earlier said the fire was allegedly started by a 3 year old child playing with matches.
All occupants of the house were rescued safely however two children aged 14 and 6 years sustained burns and are now admitted at the Labasa Hospital.
