Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama says the government’s support to the Fijian farmers will remain unrelenting in the years ahead and will keep providing smart and targeted assistance for enduring success.
While speaking during the opening of the Agriculture Show at the Valelevu grounds, Bainimarama said the next two days is about helping farmers do whatever they do best in feeding our people and grow the agricultural sector and help create a healthy and wealthier Fiji.
A 19 year old form 7 student of Suva Muslim College Josua Natata who was one of the farmers present at the show says this is a good opportunity for him as he wants to broaden his knowledge on farming techniques.
He says that this helps him provide for his family.
Natata who has a farm in Colo-i-Suva says his first time in this show is an eye opener especially for his dalo and kawai farm.
