A soccer player escaped from the change room at Ratu Cakobau Park and failed to turn up for a drug test at the Inkk Mobile BOG over the weekend.
The CEO of the Fiji Football Association, Mohammed Yusuf says this soccer player has been deemed positive for drug use as he took off before the drug test.
He says 28 players were tested and four were positive for drugs, of which two were repeat offenders.
Yusuf says they are now using enhanced machines to test for drugs and this system also picks if players are using hard drugs.
He also confirms that some players are taking things like mile a minute to clean their blood from drugs.
The Fiji FA is suspending first offenders for three months and fining them $200 while repeat offenders are suspended for three years and fined $1,000.
Yusuf confirms they will start fining district associations $200 from later this year if their players are found using drugs.
Meanwhile, the last round of group matches of the Inkk Mobile BOG will be payed at Ratu Cakobau Park this Friday while the semis and final will be played on Saturday and Sunday.
