The Fiji Trades Union Congress says the Fiji Police Force has declined its permit application for the protest and march planned for this Saturday.

FTUC says no reason has been given for the application being declined.

Last month, FTUC National Secretary Felix Anthony said they applied for the permit in view of the ongoing harassment against workers and unionists and pending campaign issues.

Those pending campaign issues include the National Minimum Wage,  Right to Strike, Labour Law Reforms, Imposition of Individual Contracts, Federated Airline Staff Association Issues, Vatukoula Strike and Harassment and intimidation of trade unionists.
