A man who was charged with theft has been acquitted by the Ba Magistrates Court.
Magistrate Samuela Qica says the prosecution has failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt the identification of the suspect.
He says the complainant may have lost her jewellery, it appears flimsy from the evidence as to how the jewellery was actually lost or taken from her.
The Magistrate adds aside from her evidence that the suspect was talking to her and then suddenly run’s away, there is no evidence to show that the suspect actually took the jewellery and ran away.
