National Federation Party Leader, Professor Biman Prasad has made it clear that NFP will boycott the parliament sitting starting this morning however he has also said that they will go back into parliament if they believe there is a matter of interest that requires the party’s contribution.
Professor Prasad says they are concerned over the alleged assault by Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama on NFP President and MP, Pio Tikoduadua on August 9th this year.
However the NFP Leader says they may go back into parliament.

Meanwhile Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho has already said that the investigation into the alleged assault lodged by National Federation Party parliamentarian Pio Tikoduadua against the Prime Minister on August 9th is ongoing, as investigators gather more statements.
Qiliho says once the investigation process is completed, the file will be compiled and sent to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for sanctioning.
The Commissioner says the progress on the investigations has been provided to Tikoduadua and Police will continue to liaise with him until the completion of the case.
