Many All Blacks fans are turning on former All Blacks captain, Richie McCaw as a bad luck charm for attending the New Zealand-England match last night.
McCaw was in Yokohama with wife Gema and daughter, Charlotte as the All Blacks were dethroned 19-7 by England in their semifinal match.
An All Black fan posted on social media that McCaw jinxed the All Blacks team while another posted “The McCaw curse strikes again”.
Similar events occurred during the 2016 Rio Olympics, where the Richie McCaw curse hit Valerie Adams, Lydia Ko, the Black Sticks, and the men's sevens rowing team.
McCaw attended all these sporting events and now New Zealand fans are saying that he is a bad luck charm for New Zealand whenever he attends any event they are taking part in.
When asked at the Olympics if he was a bad luck charm, he replied perhaps he was and he might have to leave.
The All Blacks will now await the loser of tonight's semifinal where they will compete in the Bronze final next Friday while England will take on the winner next Saturday in the Final.
