Thousands of people, schools and government offices in parts of Suva will face low water pressure to intermittent water supply till 6pm today.

The affected areas include Sukuna Road, Domain Road, Laucala Bay Road, University of the South Pacific, Muanikau Road, Stoddart Street, Knolly Street, Rewa Street, Nailuva Road, Cakobau Road, Ma’afu Street, Veiuto Road, Vuya Road, Nasova Police Barracks, Gladstone Road, Government Building, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Berkley Crescent, Government House, Flagstaff Area, Mariko Street, Gordon Street and Selbourne Street.

The schools affected are USP, Marist Brothers High School, Stella Marist Primary School, Veiuto Primary School, Sacred Heart College, and Suva Grammar School.

Please contact the Water Authority of Fiji if you do not get any water till 6pm on 5777.

The Water Authority of Fiji says the interruption in supply is due to low water levels at the service reservoir in Flagstaff which is a result of suspected airlocks within the reticulation system.

Crew members are working to address the issue by conducting manual valve operations, flushing, and verification.
