Remand prisoner Waisea Sasalu of Nabua escaped from the Suva Magistrate Court this morning.

Sasalu was awaiting his court appearance for an Aggravated Robbery case.

Police say roadblocks have been erected throughout the Divisions.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is requested to call Crime Stoppers on 919.

Police confirm an internal investigation has been directed into how he escaped from Police custody.
