114 drivers were charged for speeding while 2 others were arrested for drinking and driving in the last 24 hours.

10 drivers were also charged for careless driving, 8 were charged for not wearing seat belts, 9 were charged for failing to produce their Drivers License while 4 were charged for using their mobile phones while driving.

Three were charged for illegal operations, one driver was charged for carrying excess passengers while 84 others were charged for other offences.

A total of 978 vehicles were intercepted with a total of 233 Traffic Infringement notices given.

Director Traffic SSP Mahesh Mishra has reminded drivers to drive safely as we go through adverse weather conditions and ensure not to drive in flooded areas.

Mishra urges the public to ensure children are supervised and are not playing on roads or in flooded areas.
