The Canberra Raiders have moved their pre-season training camp from Canberra to Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

Canberra recorded as having the worst air quality of any major city in the world yesterday as bushfires rage in the nearby NSW South Coast, Riverina and Snowy Mountains regions.

The Raiders will train indoors only in Canberra until they move to  Sunshine Coast on Thursday for a 10 day camp.

The NRL has announced that they are working with clubs, states and partners to develop a coordinated initiative to support fire affected communities.

Meanwhile, Super Rugby team, the Brumbies have relocated to Newcastle due to health concerns for their players.
