A thick layer of smoke continues to blanket parts of Australia as bushfires continue to burn across New South Wales and Queensland.
From Sydney to Brisbane, videos have been taken showing smoke blocking any view of the horizon.
Fijivillage spoke to Darren Howe this afternoon who lives about 15 minutes away from the main fire front in East Gippsland in Victoria.
He says a lot of people have been evacuated while some are still waiting as a lot of roads are blocked with debris.
Howe says from his front yard he can’t see 100 metres across the road because of the smoke.
He says some of his friends had their properties destroyed.
Almost 2,000 houses have been destroyed in Australia's months-long bushfire crisis.
At least 25 people and millions of animals have died since September.
