The Registrar of Trade Unions, Osea Cawaru says the registration of Itaukei Land Trust Board Workers Union, Hot Bread Kitchen Employees Trade Union, Fiji Maritime Workers Association, Viti National Union of Itaukei Workers and BPSS Co Ltd Workers and Carpenters Group Salaries Association will be cancelled if they fail to show cause by or before the 13th of next month.
These trade unions are currently suspended as according to Cawaru, the accounts of these trade unions have not been kept in accordance with the Employment Relations Act and failure to submit Annual Returns and Audited Financial Reports.
Cawaru says none of these unions have written back showing cause why their registration should not be cancelled or suspended.
