The National Disaster Management team and government officials have been Moving around the Lau Group to provide relief supplies to people who have been affected by cyclones Sarai and Tino.
The Minister for Infrastructure, Jone Usamate says the team is conducting,damage assessments,assisting with health issues and distributing food rations in the Southern Lau for now.
Usamate says Lau islands did not suffer any major structural damages in the last two cyclones however, their crops took the brunt of the strong winds.
He says that one of the major concerns was boarding schools as most boarding school plantations was destroyed ,the NDMO is prioritizing boarding schools for food rations.
