Minister for Agriculture Dr. Mahendra Reddy says they want to reduce hindrances to the development of rural and maritime communities.
He highlighted this while commissioning a foot crossing bridge at Nakuruwai Village in Noco, Rewa.
Dr. Reddy adds it is important that they reach out to villages and provide them with the basic infrastructure that will contribute towards their development .
48-year-old Nakuruwai villager, Akosita Mataname says this is the first time any sort of help and development has come to the village.
She says the foot-crossing would ease accessibility to and within the village and would ensure their produce is easily transported out of the village.
She adds villagers encountered a lot of problems, especially crossing the creek on a piece of log.
