Thousands of soccer fans lined up from Pacific Harbour to Navua Town to welcome their heroes after the Navua soccer team created history by winning the Courts Homecentres IDC for the first time yesterday.
Navua stayed back in Nadi last night after their 2-0 win over Lautoka in the final and started their journey with the IDC Trohpy from Nadi Town this morning.
Association President Anil Sharma says the support they received on the way to Navua was overwhelming.
He said thousands of people were also gathered in Navua to congratulate the players.
Sharma said celebrations will be held after Diwali this weekend and $50,000 has been put aside for the players and officials to share.
