This is a chance to showcase Fiji's talent and to make the last week of the school holidays fun and exciting for everyone.

These are the sentiments of Suva Rugby Festival Games and Activities coordinator Koli Korovulavula on the talent competition “Fab Fijian” which is expected to kick off this afternoon at Albert Park.

Korovulavula explained that this will be like the British talent show Britain’s Got Talent, whereby the competition is not restricted to singing but standup comedy, dance numbers, etc.

He said entry is free and they are hoping to get at least 5 to 10 people competing per day, of which two finalists will be chosen, who will then go onto the finals on Friday to battle it out.

Meanwhile, with excitement already in the air for the Digicel Suva International Sevens, more than 60 people from different cultural backgrounds are gearing up to entertain people tonight as part of "We Are Fiji" night.

Coordinator Lai Veikoso said the performers are from majority of the ethnic groups and they are excited to perform tonight.

The performance starts at Albert Park from 7pm.
