The Fiji Rugby Union has assured that provincial rugby unions in the country will also benefit from the FRU lottery ticket, which will now been drawn in December this year.
The FRU has once again extended the draw date of the lottery ticket to the 30th of December and Chairman Bill Gavoka said they hope to rake in close to $1.2 million with the sale of this lottery ticket with benefit also going to the provincial unions who will be part of the sale of tickets.
However Chairman, Bill Gavoka said the target for the lottery was yet to be achieved and he asks the supporters for understanding.
Gavoka said the lottery which was launched in August 2009 with 100,000 tickets at $20 each was supposed to be drawn on the 30th of December last year but it has been extended until the end of the year.
Also today a new committee has been formed and will be headed by Kenneth Zinck as the director which will now be in charge for all the ticket sales.
Zinck hopes that they will now be able to work within the time frame.
The first prize is $100,000, $70,000 for the second prize and $30,000 prize for the third prize.
