Water cuts will continue over the next two weeks for residents in Lami, Delainavesi, Wailoku and Savura that are being fed from the Tamavua Treatment Plant due to the on-going upgrading works.

Water authority spokesperson Michelle Tevita Singh said there will be continuous water supply disruptions as they are undertaking upgrading works in the Tamavua and Waila treatment plants which is expected to end in Mid April this year.

Singh said they will be carting water to affected areas throughout the duration of this period, adding people are advised to always store water for preparations.

Fijivillage had received complaint from residents in Delainavesi that they had not received water cart trucks as they had been experiencing water supply disruptions for over twenty four hours.

Singh said the authority will be carting water to all affected areas and has advised that residents contact the authority if they have not received water carting.

She said residents are to make use of the Water cart trucks when it visits the affected areas.
