The newly installed Momo Levu na Tui Vuda, Ratu Eparama Kitione Tavaiqia has returned to his official residence, where he will stay indoors while the Vanua of Vuda observe the 4 nights of his installation.

Taukei Sawaieke, Ratu Tevita Momoedonu confirmed that the village of Viseisei will continue to observe silence during the 4 nights as a sign of respect for the new Tui Vuda.

Ratu Momoedonu added that to mark the end of the 4 nights, there will be another traditional protocol that will be observed and there will be feasting in the village for the new Tui Vuda.

Speaking after his installation, Ratu Tavaiqia stressed that he feared God and had a lot of respect for the people.

He reminded the people of the Vanua of Vuda to fear the Creator and respect the traditional ties with other Provinces in Fiji.

The Tui Vuda asked the kingmakers from the Tokatoka Nakelo and all the Yavusa in the Vanua of Vuda to work together and support whoever is in Government, something they did when the late Tui Vuda, Ratu Josefa Iloilo held the title.
