People in Nadi, Lautoka, Yasawas, Mamanucas and Kadavu should prepare themselves as a tropical depression currently lying in Vanuatu may form into a cyclone late Saturday night.

The Cyclone is expected to take a South West approach passing close to Fiji resulting in strong winds and heavy rain causing flash flooding.

Nadi Weather Office Director, Alipate Waqaicelua said if the system develops into a cyclone close to the Fiji group, it will bring more rain across the group.
