The living standard for Lakena, Nausori squatters is expected to improve by mid this year.
Housing and Squatter Resettlement Minister, Colonel Samuela Saumatua said following the improvement in squatters in Bangladesh and Votua in Narere recently they are now focusing on Lakena.
He added the project is expected to be completed by June.
Residents will have better sealed roads, water, electricity, telephone and sewerage services.
Yesterday, 29 residents of Votua sub-division received 99 years residential leases from the government.
