Farmers in Naitasiri, Tailevu, Serua and Namosi have been advised to utilize their land properly to support their families financially.
Principal Agriculture Officer Peni Rika said farmers need to plant crops and vegetables to support their families and at the same time, also sell their produce to the markets.
Rika said farmers planning to develop their land can seek assistance from government as well as from the Commissioner Central’s office.
Rika added that it has been noticed that the farmers do not seek assistance from the ministry.
