A foreign national charged with allegedly obtaining goods using fake credit cards has been released on bail by the Suva Magistrates court yesterday.

Ghana national Munaf Mashood has been charged with several counts obtaining goods using a false instrument.

He appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Pemila Ratnayake who released him on bail to appear on the 10th of next month.

Fijivillage has received confirmation that Westpac Bank in Suva and Police jointly investigated the man and an accomplice who are alleged to have fake credit cards in their possession.

The two are alleged to have used the credit cards for a number of transactions before one of the business owners raised the alarm with Westpac Bank.
