Fiji Electricity Authority customers need to know that before they connect with FEA they will have to pay a Refundable Consumer Security Deposit of $100.00.
CEO Hasmukh Patel said that it is under the FEA Act that they obtain from a consumer a deposit when they initially get connected to the supply line.
The deposit will be equal to the consumer’s two months consumption.
Patel added that the main reason is to protect both the consumer and FEA in case he does not pay his bill.
