Three in four people of the Fiji population are currently physically inactive.
National Advisor Non-Communicable Disease Dr Isimeli Tukana said that lifestyle in this generation has changed a lot especially for our children which has been influenced by technology.
According to Dr Tukana, a lot of children nowadays are obese and that is a concern.
He added they are working with the Ministry of Education in promoting more physical education in schools and making it compulsory.
Meanwhile, a 2012 Walk of Health will be held in Suva on the 28th of this month.
