It was a first time lucky $30,000 scratch and win for a 41-year-old man from Labasa.
Prem Chandra, a laborer, scratched a Tropical Flower ticket and could not believe his luck when he found out that he had won.
With school starting soon, Chandra said when he won, the first thing he thought of was paying for his son’s school fees and text books.
He added he will also use his winnings to repay his debt and carry out home renovations.
