“It will be a big challenge for us.”
Those were the sentiments of the new head students of International School Suva that were appointed last night at their Annual Award Ceremony.
New Head Girl Meggan Turner and Deputy Head Girl Hanna Elias were excited to be given the opportunity to lead the students next year.
The duo said it will be a big responsibility.
Meanwhile, it was also a proud moment for 17-year-old Joshua Fonmoa as he was appointed to be the new Head Boy of International.
Fonmoa, who was also awarded a scholarship to complete his studies at International, said that he will add on to the great leadership from the past leaders.
Fonmoa’s assistant, Sameer Patel, was also proud after he was appointed to be the Deputy Head Boy of the school.
Patel said that he and Fonmoa will work together in achieving greater heights.
Special Awards that were presented last night includes Citizenship Awards to Nicole Karountzos and Alena Waqainabete, the Sports Award to Josh Uluiviti, the Dux was scooped by Kristina Gurova and Cultural Awards were won by Amelia Kami and Navitalai Fong.
