A thorough investigation is now being carried out by police regarding a vehicle driven by a 14-year-old which was involved in a serious accident yesterday at Bucalevu Road, Ra.
11 passengers were in the vehicle when the 14-year-old driver allegedly lost control of it while descending a hill, causing the vehicle to tumble.
Two passengers, a 16 and 18-year-old, are still admitted at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital while the other passengers have since been treated and sent home.
Police are concerned that a 14-year-old was allowed to drive in the first place, and as such the owner of the vehicle could face charges if it is found that he did give his consent.
