Even before making his debut for the Fiji 7's team at the Hong Kong Sevens, 20 year old Sakiusa Gavidi has been already caught the attention of the Otago Rugby Club.
Gavidi who hails from Volivoli village in Nadroga was also a former Deans trophy winner for Lelean Memorial School Under 19 team.
The former National Under-20 rep started playing club rugby in Nadroga when he was only 16 years old.
Former Nadroga captain Tiko Matawalu said Gavidi and his older brother Ratu Naisa Vatuiranuku who is currently playing for the Fiji Warriors team have been eyed by the Otago Rugby Club.
Meanwhile, Gavidi is expected to get his dream start at halfback for the Digicel Fiji 7's team in the first match of the Hong Kong 7's tournament.
Ilai Tinai is expected to be at play-maker, Osea Kolinisau at rover and Samisoni Viriviri at wing.
Head coach, Alifereti Dere said this is the formation he is looking at.
The team left for Hong Kong this morning.
Fiji will play Hong Kong at 9.06pm this Friday in the first match.
Fiji's second pool match is against Spain at 2.06pm on Saturday and Canada at 10.54pm.
The cup quarterfinals start 3.48pm on Sunday, cup semis kicks off at 8.06pm and the cup final will be played at 11pm.
