Former Methodist Church President Reverend Laisiasa Ratabacaca has been elected as the Acting President of the Church.
This comes after an extraordinary meeting of the Methodist Church executive body and the Standing Committee upon which Reverend Ratabacaca was elected.
Ratabacaca said he has accepted the decision and asked for the church prayers.
Ratabacaca has also encouraged various leaders of the church to get back to basics and he is calling for revival at the congregational level.
Reverend Ratabacaca first served as President of the Methodist Church from 2002 to 2004 and was reelected as the President in 2005 until 2008.
