After months of delay, work on the relocation of the new Nausori market and bus stand has finally started.

Nausori Town Council special administrator, Napolioni Masirewa said the ground work started last week and the pouring of cement is expected to be done early next week.

The Nausori Town Council signed a $6 million loan offer from the Fiji Development Bank for this project.

This was in addition to the $3 million that was contributed by government.

Meanwhile, Masirewa has confirmed that they are looking for interested companies who can take up the space at the current Nausori bus stand and market area from March next year.

He said the new bus stand and market is expected to be ready by the end of February next year.
