The Rotary Club of Suva has made a commitment to raise more than $100,000 to support raise awareness around communities on non-communicable diseases especially for Rheumatic Heart Disease.
Club President Adrian Hughes said the club will organise a special awareness week in June.
Meanwhile, the Rotary Club of Suva inducted three new members to the club last night.
Acting New Zealand High Commissioner to Fiji, Mark Ramsden, BSP Life Insurance’s Head of Operations and Information Technology John Stanbridge and the General Manager of QEB Insurance Matthew Kearns were inducted in the club last night.
During the induction, John Stanbridge stressed that it is a great opportunity to give something back to the community while Acting New Zealand High Commissioner to Fiji, Mark Ramsden said he has seen the work that the Rotary Club and is happy to be part of it.
